Perth Airport Wayfinding and Signage Guidelines

Aviation

Perth Airport (PER) is a 24/7 gateway connecting lives, businesses and communities across Australia and the world.

With 16m+ passenger movements and a significant capital works pipeline to prepare for unprecedented growth, Semaphore developed a new wayfinding guideline to meet changing customer expectations and prepare Perth Airport for the future.

The new wayfinding and signage guideline was designed to meet global standards, define a functional wayfinding system ready for future demands, and imbue signage design with a sense of place that was uniquely Perth.

The system is clear, intuitive and inclusive. It supports operational efficiency and enhances the airport’s identity – from the highway to the gate and back. It is is easy to use, interpret and maintain.

We are currently working with Perth Airport and a team of collaborators to test and integrate the new system across existing and new areas of the airport.
