Wonthaggi Hospital Expansion

The Victorian Government is investing $115 million in the Wonthaggi Hospital Expansion Project to help the rapidly growing Bass Coast Shire community receive the same standard and access to healthcare as metropolitan communities.

The expansion will provide three new operating theatres, a procedure room, a new emergency department with 18 more treatment spaces, a new 32 bed inpatient ward with 4 extra short stay beds. The improvements will increase capacity and create a more efficient and safer environment for staff and patients.
