Transurban Headquarters
Semaphore developed a wayfinding and branding signage strategy for Transurban’s new headquarters based on the company’s purpose and place within the community, stitching Transurban’s programme into the city’s urban fabric.
The fit out adopted a distinctly urban palette, utilising traditionally external materials and features like raw brickwork, off-form concrete and lush colourful plantings.
The signage was designed to stand out by directly contrasting with these materials, with wayfinding elements becoming smooth, glossy and refined objects set against, or sometimes into, backdrops of wood, brick and render. We also developed a bespoke typeface and environmental graphics to capture the aspirations of Transurban and its role in Melbourne’s future growth.
